the Star Scream
One of my favorite paintings of all time is Munch's the Scream, so when I saw this Transformers version I had to share it. The art is done by an artist known as ninjaink on deviantart. Enjoy!
Fun with Toys: Yo Joe!
Today's edition of Fun with Toys stars Leatherneck, Footloose, Zandar, Zarana, and Road Pig.
Zandar leads Zaran a and Road Pig to a rendezvous point with Zartan when he has the group stop and look for Joes.
"I could swear we are being followed. Pan out and look for anything suspicious." says Zandar
"Hold still Footlooose!", whispers Leatherneck.
"Phew, that was close!', exclaims Footloose
Zandar, Zarana, and Road Pig never leave. So, Footloose gets a little anxious and stuns Road Pig with a tranquilizer round. Hearing his fellow Dreadnok fall to the ground, Zandar immediately turns to see two joes with their weapons focused on him. Who will win this battle? Where is Zartan? Are there more joes to be discovered? You will have to wait and see.

I love Fridays!
I know most comic readers love Wednesdays, but I love Fridays! Why? Because that is when I get an advanced pick at what comes out on Wednesday. You see, I used to get my comics from a local store known as the School of Comics. Well, thanks to all the economy crap, my favorite place to read and hang out was shut down. Well, I found a couple of great dealers online and therefore Fridays are now my favorite comic related day. Today was even made more special because I got my latest titles in the mail. In fact when I finish this post, I am going to read them.
What titles did I get you ask? Well, this week is nothing but a new 52 week from DC Comics.

Star Wars: Red Harvest
It has been a while since I did a book review on this blog. The last book I reviewed was Star Wars: Deathtroopers by Joe Schreiber. This is fitting because the book I am about to discuss is the prequel to Deathtroopers, Red Harvest. This book is also written by the New York Times bestselling author, Joe Schreiber.
Well as you may know, I am a huge Star Wars fan, especially stories dealing with mysteries of the Sith. As we saw in Deathtroopers, there was some kind of virus that took over and made everyone into, well simply put, zombies. Hell, Han and Chewie barely escaped the onslaught of the walking dead. Anyway, after reading the novel, I was wondering where did the virus come from. Well, the novel Red Harvest tells you just that, where the virus had its start.
Would you believe that a virus so evil, so destructive would come form the mind of a Sith lord? I know I would. But would you believe that the heart of the disease comes from a beautiful orchid? In the novel we find that it is one Darth Scabrous who develops the virus in his quest of immortality. I do not want to share too much of the novel because I want you to read this pulse-pounding book for yourself. This book takes place in the era of the Old Republic, which makes it an exciting read.
I realize this book came out last year and that I haven't reviewed it as soon as I would have liked to, but it really is a good read. If you liked Deathtroopers, you will love Red Harvest. I give this novel 9 out of 10 stars. Enjoy!

I just love old comic ads don't you? Some of favorites have always been when heroes save the day with Hostess cakes.

DC Who's Who Bonus Post featuring Bizarro
DC Who's Who: Supergirl
One of my favorite things to do as a child and even today is look through the DC's Who's Who and study up on past characters. I have not made these posts in a wile, but I am going to start again since I have more time on my hands with other projects in my life being completed. So, here is a Who's Who focused on Supergirl.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
I am a big Abe Lincoln fan so I don't know if I will enjoy this movie that much. But then again, I like Tim Burton.
The cool thing is it was filmed in some areas by my house.

Plastic Man sketch
I was watching Batman: the Brave and the Bold a few months ago and saw an episode that guest-starred Plastic Man. Well, I liked how he was drawn and I did a quick sketch using a black sharpie marker. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Noel Cypress as the Vamp Princess
Another beautiful set by the wonderful and always sexy, Noel Cypress.
