Some time off
Hey Guys and Gals,
Just wanted to let you know I am taking some time off. I was just recently in a car accident and my life has turned upside down so I need to take some time off and just relax for a bit.
Until next time, Get your Geek on!

Alice Malice needs your help
My good friend Malice Alice is facing eviction from her home this Thursday. I ask that all my fellow geeks gather and help her out. She is available for custom shoots as well as videos and more. Just email her at alicemalice01@gmail.com and let her know what you would like. I believe she is offering a cosplay set for $20. So, come on my fellow geeks, let's help Alice Malice.
****Update****
Alice Malice is getting evicted, but any support you give will go towards the new place.

Al Rio Interview
Geeks and Geekettes,
What made you decide to draw for a living?
During my life I did a lot of things and I always studied drawing and dreamed to work with art. When the great opportunity came I didn't let it pass. In spite of taking years looking for my dream, I never gave up.
Today I see everything that has passed and it was worthwhile, because I love what I do.
It is if I am a movie director or a magician. I feel very happy creating art and I feel proud when the people speak about me. I thank God every day for the the present he has given me.
Who is your favorite artist or inspiration?
It is difficult to say, because many inspired me to be what I am today. But dividing in phases everything began with:
John Romita (Senior)
Gil Kane
José Luis García-López
Bryan Hitch
and many others.
Do you have a favorite piece of art that you have done ?
I think it depends on what I am doing. Every day is a different day, with every year that passes I rejuvenate.
I have a taste for renewing because I am always seeking something new.
What are your plans for the near future?
Well for the future I am involved in a project, a graphic novel of 144 pages, called Fever Moon.
What advice can you give to anyone who may want to illustrate as a career?
Well, do you want the truth? A great comic artist has to be very disciplined, responsible, punctual in their deliveries,
because the work is hard and it demands you are healthy and have a good disposition.
Mainly - love what you do.
Al Rio.
It is time for another exciting interview. This time, I bring you an interview with the talented artist, Al Rio.
Well my full name is Alvaro Araújo Lorenço do Rio, and I am of the capital Fortaleza in the state of Ceará. Brazil.

The Uncanny X-force: the Apocalypse Solution
I have to admit, I do not get to read every issue of every comic that I want. Especially at $ 3.99 a pop! So, I am forced to wait for trades so I get more for my buck. Well, the other day I got my copy of the Uncanny X-force: the Apocalypse Solution trade. And I have to say, I love it! It was one of the best reads this year! For those of you who might know, when Cyclop's "Death Squad" was disbanded, Wolverine started a new X-force with the help of Psylocke and Archangel. Who else is on the team? Why Fantomex and Deadpool that's who. This trade follows the new teams first mission, find and kill the reborn Apocalypse. Without giving too much away, I just want to say that this trade is worth getting and I am sure any trades that follow will be worth getting to. Get this trade especially if you are a Deadpool fan because he has some good jokes as well as his normal insanity in this issue. Enjoy and Happy Reading!
I leave you with some of the Deadpool humor that I am talking about.
